PM Vishwakarma Scheme 2023: Today is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 73rd birthday. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi is going to give a big gift to the workers of the country. On the occasion of his birthday, Prime Minister Modi is going to launch Vishwakarma Yojana for workers. The central government had announced this scheme in the general budget 2023-24. In the budget, the government has set a target of spending Rs 13,000 crore for this for five years from financial year 2023-24 to financial year 2027-28.
Objective of Vishwakarma Yojana
The objective of this scheme is to promote and encourage the traditional skills of artisans and craftsmen working with hand and tools as well as to improve the quality of their products and to deliver the products to the market. The objective of the scheme is to promote and strengthen the practice of traditional skills by artisans and craftsmen working with their hands and tools. The aim is to improve the quality as well as the accessibility of our Vishwakarmas products and services.

Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, potters, blacksmiths, cobblers, shoe makers, garland makers, traditional toy makers, fishing net makers, hammer, lock makers, weapon makers, toolkit makers, broom makers, goldsmiths, mat, Basket makers, carpenters, masons, masons, boatmen, barbers, washermen, tailors, sculptors and stone carvers will benefit.

Like PM Kisan Yojana, to get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, first registration and then verification will have to be done. After this, the eligible beneficiary of this scheme will be given PM Vishwakarma certificate, identity card and PM Vishwakarma Yojana ID card.
You will get these benefits from PM Vishwakarma Yojana
- After getting registration and ID card in the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, a financial assistance of Rs 15,000 will be provided by the Central Government to the beneficiaries for the toolkit. So that they can buy the toolkit to start their work.
- Along with this, skill training will be given to the beneficiary workers. During this period they will be given a stipend of Rs 500 per day.
- After skill training, workers can easily take a loan up to Rs 1 lakh without any guarantee.
- After skill training, workers will also be provided the opportunity for advanced skill training by the government.
- The beneficiaries of the scheme will also get incentive amount for trained workers for digital transactions.
- The workers who are beneficiaries of this scheme will also be provided a platform for branding and endorsements by the Central Government.
