Agrasen Ki Baoli

Agrasen ki Baoli is located in Delhi. The calm and quiet environment here attracts the tourists towards it. This stepwell is a protected monument and one of the tourist places in Delhi. There is no confirmed information about when Agrasen ki Baoli was first built. It is said that this stepwell was built by the king of Agroha named Maharaja Agrasen. After whom this stepwell got its name.

It was rebuilt by the Agrawal community in the 14th century. This stepwell was built not only as a reservoir but also as a community place. It is believed that the women of that time used to gather at this well and rest in the calm environment here to escape the heat. The length of this stepwell is 60 meters and width is 15 meters.

The entire structure is built using rocks and stones. There are more than 100 stairs that take you to the water level and the thrill increases as you go down.
