102 journalists cast secret ballot
The award was voted by a jury of 102 international automotive journalists from 33 countries. The winner of this award was selected by secret ballot. The vehicle must be on sale in two major markets on at least two continents. Available on sale with multiple motor options
This electric car gets variants with different sized battery packs and multiple motor configurations. This includes 2 different battery packs 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh on offer, with the 72.6 kWh battery pack giving a range of up to 480 km. The larger battery pack comes with all-wheel drive options. It uses a dual motor with an output of 235-300 bhp, and is capable of offering a starting range of 360 kms. The smaller battery pack of the Ioniq 5 is powered by a 167 bhp motor, and has a range of 384 kms.
