After this, after the introduction of some more luxurious cars in the segment, there was a slight decline in the popularity of Vitara Brezza. However, like other models of Maruti, this car is yet to be given a generation update.
With the big update going to get Brezza this year, the word ‘Vitara’ may be dropped from its name. With this car, some such features will also debut, which were not being given in any car of Maruti till now. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Exterior Features: Sunroof and more solid body than ever
The upcoming Brezza is being built on the same platform as its current model, which proves that there will not be much change in its side profile or stance. However, this time it is believed that the company has used high strength steel in its body and platform, due to which this car will prove to be more safe than before. This thing has also been seen in the recently launched Baleno 2022 model.

Apart from this, this time the feature of sunroof will also be seen in 2022 Brezza and it will be called Maruti’s first Indian car to be equipped with this feature. It has also been seen through several spy shots that the design of the 2022 Brezza has been given a complete makeover, with changes in the sheet metal can also be seen.
Its front and rear profiles are going to look brand new. The bonnet has been kept flat and the front portion will appear slightly elevated. Also, features like LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps will be seen in this car. The back portion will also get a new tailgate, slim LED taillights and updated rear bumper. New design dual tone alloy wheels can also be given in it.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Interior: Features like bigger touchscreen, heads up display, 6 airbags
The interiors of the Maruti Brezza 2022 will also see some major updates. This car will get more features than before. However, some of the features given in it have made their debut with the Baleno itself. Highlighted features of the new Brezza will include 9.0-inch touchscreen with updated SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment software, heads-up display, 360-degree camera, connected car features.
According to the reports, the interior of the Maruti Brezza will see good quality plastic and the design of its dashboard will also be brand new. It will get new dials for the instrument cluster and a flat bottom steering wheel like Swift.
This time Maruti is also going to give a big update to this car in terms of safety. The current model of this car has got a 4 star rating from Global NCAP. If reports are to be believed, features like 6 airbags and hill hold control can be given in the new Brezza 2022.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Technical Updates: 6 Speed Automatic Gearbox, CNG Variants
Like the current model, the 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder K15B petrol engine can be given in the new Brezza. Currently, mild hybrid technology has been used with this engine only in the automatic variants. Looking at the upcoming fuel efficiency norms, the company can standardize the mild hybrid system in this car. 5 speed manual gearbox will be given with this engine as before. However, this time it can be given a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit instead of the 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. With this new gearbox, the company can also offer the feature of paddle shifter. The paddle shifter will also be the first feature to debut with a Maruti car.
It was also revealed through some reports that the CNG version of Maruti Brezza can also be launched in India. In this way, it will prove to be the first car in the country with the first CNG fuel option. Maruti plans to expand its CNG lineup including its Nexa range of cars. The company is already offering the option of a factory fitted CNG kit in the Ertiga MPV with its 1.5-litre petrol engine.
New Brezza will give tough competition to these cars
The upcoming new generation Brezza SUV will compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Chiger and Tata Nexon in the most competitive sub-compact SUV segment. Toyota’s Urban Cruiser, built on the Brezza, will also get the same updates as this car.
