Google has now removed this app from the Play Store, but if you have downloaded it before, you should also delete it immediately. This app has been downloaded by hundreds of people so far.
Cybersecurity firm Checkpoint first gave information about this app. Checkpoint report says that this app takes various permissions including notifications after being installed in the phone and it appears above all other apps. It also remains at the top of the notification panel.
Once installed in the phone, it reads all the messages on WhatsApp and also automatically messages the hacker. Along with the message sent to the hacker, this app also sends a link through which the complete information about your phone reaches the hacker. Such malware is called “wormable” ie it spreads on its own.
