DA will increase from 17 percent to 28 percent
The government has already announced that these benefits will be given to the employees from 1 July 2021. After this, DA (Dearness Allowance) of central employees will increase from 17 percent to 28 percent which includes a 3 percent and an expected 4 percent increase. This increase in DA is due from 1 January 2021.
This is the rule
According to the rules of the Seventh Pay Commission, the basic salary of employees is multiplied by the fitment factor. This fitment factor is 2.57. This increases the government employees’ monthly salary. Although it does not include allowance.
Travel allowance ie TA will be extended later when DA will be added to salary with pending arrears. After the increase in DA, the monthly PF and gratuity contribution of central employees will also change.
Night duty allowance
The government has made changes in several rules for central government employees in view of the increasing threat of corona epidemic. As per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the government had decided in the first half of the last financial year regarding night duty allowance. Regarding this, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued guidelines for this. The government had issued these rules during the Corona period, although the government has banned all kinds of allowances, but when the allowances start being received again from July, then the salary of central employees doing night duty will also increase.
