5 door Maruti Jimny to be launched, will compete with Thar and Gurkha

The craze for SUVs is increasing continuously in India. There is a lot of craze among the people especially about off-road SUVs. The number of SUVs like Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha is increasing continuously. Now a company is going to make a bang in the world of off road SUV. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will soon be seen running on the roads of India.

The Maruti Jimny has got a very good response before now. The Jimny Sierra has been launched in Japan and Europe and has become quite a popular car there. This SUV has got very good response.

Maruti Suzuki introduced the three-door Jimny Sierra at the 2020 Auto Expo. But experts say that in India it will be introduced to a 5-door variant. It is being told that Maruti Jimny will be exported from India.

The Maruti Jimny SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally occurring petrol engine. This engine generates power of 103 PS and torque of 138 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox can be offered with the option of a 4-speed automatic transmission. It can have 4 wheel drive. This SUV can be offered with a mild hybrid system.

The Maruti Jimny is expected to get a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple Car-Play and Android Auto support. Features like auto LED head lamp, auto climate control, cruise control can be found in this SUV with high beam support.

Talking about safety, features like airbags, antilock braking system- ABS, electronic stability program, pre-tensioner, traction control, hill hold and hill descent control can be provided on all seats of Maruti Jimny. The flat roof along with the round shaped headlamps gives the vehicle a retro look.

The company has not yet given any official information regarding the price and launch of Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Nevertheless, auto experts say that its price can start from Rs 10 lakh. It can be sold at Maruti’s Nexa outlet.
